Photography by Vicky Pink - On Saturday, January 9, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at The Gite Gallery for the This Woman’s Work’s Stepping Into Strength affair. The nonprofit organization founded by Michelle F. Lewis has the purpose of creating a community in which women and girls are empowered with access to career opportunities, programs and mentoring relationships. This first program for This Woman’s Work introduced the organization to the community. Some in attendance were HISD School Board Wanda Adams, Dorita Hatchett, Darian Davis, Colleen Banks, Karen Carter Richards, Kisha Hodges, Karen Hauser, Kimberly Joseph, Chasta Martin, Kim Roxie, Chrystal Rivers, Rhonda Cummings, Vernita Harris, and Tiffany Davis.
