Photography by Mike Munoz - On Thursday, January 21, 2016, Houston Style Magazine was on hand at the Houston Community College Administration Building for the swearing-in ceremony for the new terms for the Houston Community College Board of Trustees during their January meeting. Eva L. Loredo (District VIII), Dr. Adriana Tamez (District III, Secretary), Dr. Carolyn Evans-Shabazz (District IV) and Dr. John P. Hansen (District VI) were all sworn-in before a packed crowd. There are nine trustees who comprise the official governing body of HCC. Trustees are elected from single-member districts for six-year terms and serve without compensation.
