Photography by Vicky Pink = Houston Area Urban League, Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, My Brother’s Keeper and Houston Symphony partnered to host the 3rd Annual Summer Reading Camp. Campers from Houston ISD’s Atherton, Martinez, Pugh, Ross and Scroggins Elementary Schools were engaged in daily activities to encourage them to read and stop the summer reading slide. The camp was facilitated by John Robinson. Some in attendance were Veronica Gibson, Literacy Specialist; Houston Symphony CEM; Kristen Stubbs, and Chief Develop Officer.
