Photography by Vicky Pink - The United Negro College Fund is making plans for the upcoming 2016 UNCF Walk for Education. Supports of education officially kicked off this season before the walk with their annual kick off breakfast. Now in its 31st year, the walk helps raise funds to provide financial assistance to more than 60,000 students at historically black colleges and universities. Janette Hammond of CenterPoint Energy was awarded the 2015 Champion Award. Some in attendance were Juana Collins, Jerry Davis, Willie Lane, Shawn Simmons, James Harris, Helen George, and Kenya Woodley.
