Photography by Vicky Pink - A special vigil was held to call attention to terror, gun violence, and hate speech in our country. It was part of a joint partnership with the Harris County Democratic Party joins Charles Armstrong, Houston LGBT Political Caucus, OutSmart Magazine, The Montrose Center, Legacy Community Health - Montrose, Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church, Moms Demand Action - TX, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Black Lives Matter Houston, Houston Black American Democrats (HBAD), Houston Stonewall Young Democrats, and others. Some in attendance were Mayor Sylvester Turner, Chairman Lane Lewis, Congressman Al Green, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Rep. Garnet Coleman, Constable Alan Rosen, Senator John Whitmire, Senator Rodney Ellis, Kim Ogg, Troy Treash, Glen Austin, James Lee, Katy Caldwell and several others.
