Photography by Vicky Pink - Houston City Hall was on red alert as the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. flooded through the doors for Houston Delta Day. Mayor Sylvester Turner and Houston City Council welcomed members of the Houston area chapters with open arms. The ladies were able to hear first hand about plans and partnerships coming to the city and how their organization could be of service. Mayor Turner thanked DST for their service to the community and for the $19 million the ladies brought to Houston’s economy last summer during their national convention. Each chapter was presented with an official proclamation from Mayor Turner.
