Photography by Vicky Pink - The Houston Public Library (HPL) tapped Judge Vanessa D. Gilmore as the keynote speaker for their “Connecting Communities Critical Conversations” event. Under the theme, “Women’s Issues Past, Present and Future,” Houston Style Magazine captured Judge Gilmore as she highlighted women’s issues through the retrospective lens of the 1977 National Women’s Conference and deliberated contemporary and impending matters. A noteworthy panelist held a discussion for a more in-depth conversation. Some in attendance were Cindy George, Sarah Kellner, Vince Ryan, Carmen Aluga, Larry Payne, and Nicole Montgomery.
