Photography by Roswitha Vogler - Employees of Comcast rolled up their sleeves to participate in the nation's largest single-day corporate service effort. Going now in its 15th year, Comcast shows their compassion for their community by volunteering in their community on a day that has become known as Comcast Cares Day. It started out as their year-round commitment to volunteerism and has blossomed to be the company’s signature celebration. Houston area employees, along with their families, made change happen by helping wounded warriors at Camp Hope. Veterans and their families suffering from combat-related post-traumatic stress can find temporary housing at Camp Hope. Comcast employees gave the Camp Hope home some curb appeal by laying down shrubbery, staining wood decking, and having children hand-paint pots for plants and flowers. Mayor Sylvester Turner presented a proclamation in honor of the day.
