Photography by Vicky Pink - Houston International Trade Development Council, Inc. (HITDC) celebrates the diversity of Houston and its business success stories at the 3rd Annual Global Seven Awards. They promote sustainable education and workforce development that each drive global wealth and job creation, which directly impacts our global economy. Proceeds from the event will support HITDC’s future global trade mission outreach initiatives as well as educational scholarship programs which aligns with our event theme: Global Trade Reduces Global Poverty. Sher-Min Chow emceed the event. Mehmet Esen, Jason Hsuing, Carlecia Wright, Richard Huebner, Fereshteh Sorurbakhsh, Maria Rios, Darryl King, and Linda Wuest were honored. Some in attendance were HITDC President Val Thompson, Zoe Cadore, Nicholas Connors, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Theresa Gryson, Rosanna Gomez Moreno, Miao Smith, Alan Helfman, Xiao Long, Denise Adjei, Dr. Jim Wu, and Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America.
