Photography by Vicky Pink - Kids R.O.C.K. Cycle for Safety held an interactive kids skills and safety festival to help children get the know-how on bike safety at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church. Kids were able to learn to ride their bike safely, start and stop properly, avoid hazards, yielding, ride an obstacle course and more. A heath fair with representatives from UMMC Hospital helped attendees get their health in order. At the end of the training, kids were given ‘I Promise’ certificates and participated in a bicycle raffle. Representatives from Bike Houston and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee were in attendance.
