Photography by Vicky Pink - Sickle Cell Association of Texas Marc Thomas Foundation has a mission to educate, support and improve the quality of life for adults and families affected by sickle cell disease and sickle cell trait. The first annual Masquerade Luncheon Soiree: Unmasking Sickle Cell raises funds to support the ongoing programs of the association and honor those who have taken up the mission of sickle cell awareness. During the program, Ayanna Edmondson, Lady Alfretta Hicks, and Kier Spates were honored for advancing the agenda of sickle cell disease advocacy and awareness.
