Photography by Vicky Pink - For the 31st year, Houston walkers laced up their shoes to support UNCF and their 37 historically black colleges and universities at the 2016 Houston Walk for Education. Mayor Sylvester Turner served as the honorary chair of this year’s walk that annually draws more than 1,600 walkers from corporations, community organizations, and individuals from the greater Houston area. The fundraising goal for 2016 is $300,000 that will go towards the education of more than 60,000 students.
