Photography by Roswitha Vogler - Comcast honored ten community volunteers at the Comcast Hispanic Hero Awards Gala in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The elegant affair paid tribute to outstanding individuals committed to making a difference in the community through volunteerism, mentorship, advocacy or civic engagement. Those honored were Pedro Caruso, Lenora Sorola-Pohlman, Jose Castillo, Jessica Requena, Hiram Contreras, Greg Hernandez, Maria Cantu-Ondarza, Jose Valdez, Joseph Soliz, and Rafael Sarango. Francisco Ivarra served as the keynote speaker. Some in attendance were Yolanda Green, Bryce Kennard, Sean Bybee and Laura Mayorga.
