Be the Solution: Empowerment Film and Summit
Photography by Vicky Pink - Council Member Amanda Edwards’ Community Empowerment Signature Series is an annual series of community-based events designed to empower Houstonians with knowledge of key community issues and equip them with the tools to effect community-based solutions. With the Signature Series, citizens will be educated on current issues impacting Houston; equipped with effective digestible methods and tools of action; empowered to take the initiative to create positive change; and encouraged to work together peacefully toward resolutions. Some in attendance were Pastor Ray Bady, Dr. Thomas Cole, Ada Edwards, Judson Robinson, III, Dr. Christine LeVeaux-Haley, Jerry Ford, Jr., and Daniel Vasquez.
