Photography by Vicky Pink - Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee hosted the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) 5th Executive Economic Summit. A dinner that was emceed by Melanie Lawson was held in conjunction with the summit. The distinguished delegation for the CDCF discussed relevant economic issues, especially during this current post-Hurricane Harvey period. Themed “After Hurricane Harvey: Economic Lessons Learned and the Role of Business in National Disaster Relief Efforts,” the Summit focused on mapping minority access to capital with business leaders and others in the financial services sector in addition to those our communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Some in attendance were Mayor Sylvester Turner, Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Carl Davis, Linda Lorelle, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, and Carolyn Scantleberry.
