Photography by Semetra Samuel - As the Houston Texans battled the Pittsburgh Steelers, fans were celebrated at the annual Fans Appreciation Day game. Season ticket holders had the opportunity to win Super Bowl LII tickets as well as other prizes and serve as Texas Flag holders. The 2017 Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl head coaches, the University of Texas Head Coach Tom Herman and the University of Missouri Head Coach Barry Odom, served as the Homefield Advantage Captains. Texas country music rising star and Houston native Julia Cole led the crowd singing the national anthem. Special presentations of the Spirit of Service Award, Pro Bowl Cheerleader and the Commissioner’s Cup winner were made. It seems that Santa gave all the gifts to fans at the game, as the Texans did not receive the gift of a win. The Steelers won with a score of 34-6 and the Texans now have 4-11 ranking for the season.
