Houston Real Estate Association Awards Gala
Photography Vicky Pink - Before a packed crowd the 2017 officers of the Houston Black Real Estate Association were officially installed at the HBREA’s 68th Installation Awards and Scholarship Gala. During the formal dinner and awards ceremony, Roland Martin gave the keynote address with additional words coming from Honorary Chair Mayor Sylvester Turner. Isaiah Carey from Fox 26 news was the host. The bi-annual event is the largest fundraiser and helps provide scholarships to high-school seniors and first year college students. Some in attendance were HBREA President Elect, Kim Barnes-Henson, Gerald Womack, Congressman Al Green, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Jerome Love, Judson Robinson, Dr. Carolyn Evans-Shabazz and Courtney Johnson-Rose.
