15th Disparities in Health in America Workshop

Goltz, and Bridget Gorman chaired the 15th Annual Disparities in Health in America: Working Toward Social Justice Workshop. The summer workshop provided a comprehensive understanding of health disparities, to investigate approaches to enhancing health equity, and to provide participants with a broad base of knowledge related to a bio-psychosocial approach in addressing health disparities in minority and medically underserved populations. The Center for Research on Minority Health and the Texas Program for Society & Health at Rice University partnered to create the Health Disparities Education, Awareness, Research and Training Consortium (HDEART-C). HDEART-C’s goal is to eliminate health disparities.
