Photography by Vicky Pink - Serving as a support system for the talented, People’s Family Workshop (PFW) provides a platform for engaging in artist development classes, show productions, and professionally adjudicated competitions. In the process, PFW’s goal is to maintain a family friendly arts program that is marked by quality presentations without vulgarity. A broader aspect of PFW’ purpose is accomplished by using the arts as a catalyst for community camaraderie, mentoring, cultural arts awareness, and fine arts appreciation. Howard C. Harris, Jr., professor of music at Texas Southern University founded the PFW. The recent Mola Starz spotlights tomorrow’s star artists today.
