Comcast NBCUniversal’s Houston Strong Community Partners Luncheon
Photography by Roswitha Vogler - Comcast NBCUniversal celebrated the work of 25 non-profit partners that are assisting in Hurricane Harvey rebuilding efforts at the Houston Strong Community Partners Luncheon. Each honoree was surprised with $10,000 to fund their ongoing efforts in the Houston and surrounding communities. Anna M. Babin, President and CEO of the United Way of Greater Houston, and Angela Blanchard, President and CEO of Baker Ripley, spoke on “Life After the Storm.” In attendance were Mayor Sylvester Turner; Comcast Houston’s T. Ray Purser, Ralph Martinez, Laura Mayorga, Tiffany Payne, Mimi McClure, Yolanda Green Barnes, and Bryce Kennard; Former Mayor Annise Parker; Change Happens!’s Leslie Smith; Houston Area Urban League’s Judson Robinson III and Eric Goodie; Houston Style’s Lisa Valadez; Melinda Little; Jeff Syptak; Khambrel Marshall; and Ann Robinson.
