They recently honored several of Houston's top African American businesses that have partnered with them in that fight at the 23rd African American Business Achievement Pinnacle Awards. During the evening of recognition, the business owners celebrated were Jacqueline Camphor, Roshunda Jackson, Orgena D. Kenner, Marshall Isom, Patricia Hogan Williams, Kelli & Troi Taylor, Sterling & Stephen Carter, Warren Broadnax, Faheem Smith, Valesco Raymond, and Dr. Teriya M. Richmond. Special honorary chairs wereMr. Jevaughn Sterling, Senior Vice President, Amegy Bank and Mr. Shawn Taylor, President, Zaxby’s Houston, LLC. Tamar Davis sang the Negro National Anthem.
