COH 5th Champion of Diversity Awards
Photography by Vicky Pink - The City of Houston’s Office of Business Opportunity Advisory Board presented the 5th Annual Champions of Diversity Awards. Under the theme, “A Celebration of Building and Embracing Economic Diversity,” prime contractors, as well as Minority, Women, Small, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises were recognized for their outstanding performances on City of Houston contracts. Greater Houston Black Chamber of Commerce was presented with $1,000 from the COH OBO. Mayor Sylvester Turner served as the Honorary Chair and brought remarks. Others in attendance were Carlecia Wright, Laurie Vignaud, James Harris, Mario Diaz, V. Michael McKay, Miya Shay, Courtney Johnson Rose, Argentina James, and Council members Amanda Edwards, Jerry Davis, and Jack Christie.
