Atherton Elementary School Welcomes Dalian Mingxing School
Atherton Elementary School with school principal Dr. Albert L. Lemons welcomed the Dalian Mingxing School. This partnership is part of Houston ISD's 21st Century After School Program for students to learn from each other and have a global education. The Dalian Mingxing Primary School is in China. The Atherton Fine Arts Magnet Choir performed. Some in attendance were Jada Olagoke, Rev. Dr. Sheldon L. Jackson, Sr., HISD Board President Rhonda Skillern-Jones, Area Superintendent Julia Dimmitt-North, State Rep. Harold Dutton, City Councilman Jerry Davis, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Ben McMilan.
