Macy’s Welcomes Alpha Kappa Alpha
Photography by Vicky Pink - Macy’s knows high fashion just goes perfectly with the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The retail giant could not let the ladies come to Houston for their international conference without giving them a proper welcome. Led by Macy’s Kristyn Doar-Page and Jean Murphy, a special fashion show exploding with pink and green designs was held for members at Macy’s in the Houston Galleria. Several prominent members of the Houston area were featured in the show including Jamila Lloyd, Taylar Lewis, Camellia Jackson, TaMeka Martin, Sarah Mitchell, Michelle Simpson, and Andrea Bonner. Afterward, the ladies were able to shop, enjoy sounds from the in-house DJ, and soak up Macy’s Southern hospitality.
