7th Turner Juneteenth Parade
Photography by Vicky Pink - It was a grand celebration of freedom during Mayor Sylvester’s 7th Annual Acres Homes Juneteenth Parade. Bands, queens, politicians and more filled the streets in Houston to join in the festivities. The parade began on W. Montgomery at the Acres Home Multi-Service Center and ended on Dolly Wright at the Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Kids and kids at heart could be seen along the route smiling and waving. After the parade, the celebration continued at the church.
