Tonya Chissell-Williams’ Funeral
Photography by Vicky Pink - Many mourners gathered to honor the life of Tonya Chissell-Williams. Known as a dedicated servant, Tonya was a valued member of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s staff. She was responsible for handling many of the Congresswoman’s affairs. In honor of her work, Congresswoman Lee has chosen to rename her annual Toys for the Kids event in Tonya’s name. Some in attendance were Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Dr. Elwyn Lee, Bishop James Dixon, Kathy Taylor, Kim Roxie, Sherry Browning, Rev. Terrance Grant Malone, Carl Davis, Rhonda Arnold, Jarvis Johnson, Janice Weaver, and Linda K. Brown.
