Center for Houston’s Future 2019 The Future of Leadership Luncheon
Photography by Vicky Pink - The Future of Leadership Luncheon celebrated the important role of philanthropy in the Houston community with a conversation with Darren Walker, President of the Ford Foundation, and Laura Arnold, Co-Chair of Arnold Ventures. H-E-B was presented with the 16th annual Eugene H. Vaughan Award for Civic Leadership for their commitment to community investment through their Spirit of Giving philosophy. The Greater Houston Partnership Chair and Center Ex-Officio Member, Scott McClelland accepted the honor. Carrin Patman, Chair of METRO Board of Directors and Fred Zeidman, Chairman of Gordian Group co-chaired the event. Some in attendance were Mayor Sylvester Turner, Sidney Lacy, Janette Cosley, Paula McCann Harris, Dr. Rhea Lawson, Dorothy Ables, Harris County Chief Lina Hildago, Rhonda Arnold, Winell Herron, Gerald Smith, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Licia Ellis, and Jerome Gray.
