Harris County Commissioners Court Meeting
Photography by Vicky Pink - Harris County Commissioners had a lengthy agenda at their June 4th meeting. The court approved to apply to the Texas Secretary of State for “successful” status for the recently implemented program that allows voters to cast their ballots at any polling place in the county. The court also approved a resolution expressing support for members of United Steelworkers (USW) Local 13-1, who have been locked out of their jobs at Dow Chemical in Deer Park for six weeks. However, the court did not approve the building of a new juvenile jail. Instead, opting to use funds for maintenance.
