Houston, TX - Houston City Council Member Dave Martin will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m., at the Kingwood Community Center located at 4102 Rustic Woods Drive.

Residents are invited to attend and hear from city and community representatives about ongoing projects as well as community news related to the Kingwood areas of District E. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and informational tables will be set up to review before the meeting begins. This fall's town hall meeting will include a special presentation from Mayor Sylvester Turner in addition to presentations from the City of Houston Public Works and Engineering Department (PWE) and the Lake Houston Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone.

Ravi Kaleyatodi, Senior Assistant Director with PWE, will provide a brief overview of the upcoming Northeast Water Purification Plant Expansion Project in addition to information for community engagement opportunities to better familiarize the community with the expansion project. Also from PWE, a representative from the Traffic Management Division will provide an update on recent improvements to Kingwood Drive traffic signal synchronization as well as improvements made to the intersection of Northpark Drive and Woodridge Parkway.

Council Member Martin has invited Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) 10 Chairman, Stan Sarman, to present an update on the Kingwood Area Mobility study regarding Northpark and area intersection improvements. We hope that you will join us to learn about the projects in Kingwood. Additionally, Houston Fire Department Chief Samuel Peña and Houston Police Department Kingwood Substation Captain Jacob Atkins will be providing updates from their departments.

Lastly, Chief Resiliency Officer Stephen Costello will provide updates on the City of Houston's efforts to improve drainage through the Storm Water Action Team Program, and give a brief overview of local drainage project occuring on Saint Andrews Road in Forest Cove.
