HOUSTON, TX…A-Game Sports Marketing announced today that the honoree for the inaugural “Laughs with Legend” event will be Houston Oilers Legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame member Warren Moon. The event, which will take place at the Houston Improv on January 31, 2016 will also feature George “Mr. Las Vegas” Wallace as the comedy headliner and four legendary former NFL players in a skit called “The Legends Liars Club.” These players are: Andre Reed, Pro Football Hall of Fame; Larry Centers, NFL record-holder; John Randle, Pro Football Hall of Fame; and Bubby Brister, NFL record-holder.

“We’re extremely pleased to honor Warren Moon as the first recipient of the A-Game Sports Marketing Laughs with Legends Award,’ said Larry Centers, founding partner with A-Game Sports Marketing and NFL record-holder for most career receptions by a running back. “Warren is the only NFL alumnus to be a member of both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. His illustrious 23-year career brought smiles to faces of numerous North American fans – specially right here in Houston. So, we could not be more pleased that Warren has agreed to accept this honor.”

Co-produced by Houston stand-up comic, playwright and producer Billy D. Washington, the event will also feature the renowned comedian George Wallace. Famous for his “Yo Mama” and “I Be Thinkin’” jokes, George will treat the Laughs with Legends audience to a hilarious stand-up routine.

“In addition to being treated to globally-recognized stand-up comedian George Wallace, I’m also really excited about the show’s ‘Legends Liars Club’ segment, “said Washington. “If you are familiar with the old Liar’s Club gameshow, you know that three of our ex-NFL players will be lying, and one will be telling the truth. Audience members vote; and, right or wrong – with these four guys – the answers will lead to a lot of laughs.”

Event producers plan to make Laughs with Legends an annual event during Super Bowl Week in the game’s host city. Next year’s event, which will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will honor Laughs with Legends’ own John Randle, a good friend of A-Game Sports Marketing’s co-founders, and a legendary defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings.
