As our new normal starts to set in we’re all asking ourselves what this means for business. More specifically, how will this impact Hispanic marketing and the exponential growth we’ve seen in the Latinx and multicultural influencer space. Will business become stagnant? Will influencers lose work? Are brands slashing budgets? Are creators staying silent? While we don’t claim to know all the answers, we are listening, observing and trying to navigate our new reality in the wake of this COVID-19 crisis.

Our team has spoken to colleagues at advertising & PR firms, talent agencies, influencers, entrepreneurs, and we all agree on one thing: we need to continue doing business and supporting our Hispanic community. In NYC alone, 4 in 10 Latinos have lost their jobs due to COVID-19.

WHAT INFLUENCERS THINK

When we speak to influencers, they have expressed their desire to use their platforms for good. Whether that’s through humor or fashion, encouraging people to stay home, or by providing tips on how to homeschool or manage finances--we can all agree that the content they create not only brings a smile to our faces but also provides a distraction from reality.

WHAT BRANDS ARE DOING

Brands need to understand that they can and should be part of that conversation. Now more than ever it's time to get creative with your brand messaging and realize the true power of a creator’s audience. Your brand can make an impact by not only sharing positivity but by continuing to show your support for Latinx influencers and small businesses.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

Our goal at INFLUENSER has always been to create a digital community where we could network and participate in industry panels both IRL and virtually. That is why we are launching the first-ever INFLUENSER Interactive Digital Summit on Tuesday, April 28th.

We are also in the process of partnering with a non-profit that is working to support families and victims of COVID-19 and we will be announcing our partnership soon.
