Andrei Kozyrev, who served as foreign minister of Russia from 1991 to 1996, will discuss his book, "The Firebird: The Elusive Fate of Russian Democracy," and current developments in Russia at Rice University's Baker Institute for Public Policy Jan. 14.

Kozyrev serves as a distinguished fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars’ Kennan Institute.

The event, hosted in partnership with the Kennan Institute, is open to the public and admission is $10. Registration is at www.bakerinstitute.org/events/2044.

Who: Andrei Kozyrev, former foreign minister of Russia, in a moderated discussion with Baker Institute Director Edward Djerjeian.

What: A presentation titled "The Elusive Fate of Russian Democracy." A book signing will follow the presentation, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.
