The NBA has taken the necessary steps to shut down its season "until further notice" after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested presumptive positive for COVID-19 aka Coronavirus on Tuesday. According to league statement, the result was reported prior to tipoff of the Jazz vs Thunder game at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

"The NBA is suspending game play following the conclusion of tonight’s schedule of games until further notice. The NBA will use this hiatus to determine the next steps for moving forward in regard to the coronavirus pandemic," the official statement from the league office read.

Players were told to return to their locker room during warmups before the game. Jazz and Thunder players are currently quarantined at Chesapeake Energy Arena, league sources tell ESPN.
