Did you know that more than 10,000 Texans are awaiting a life-saving organ transplant and only 60% of adults in Texas are registered organ donors?
In honor of Donate Life Month in April, The Health Museum along with partners at Methodist, UTMB, LifeGift/The Living Bank, Nora’s Home, and others, is hosting a series of events to educate and celebrate those that save lives every day.
Donate Life Month is an observance focusing national attention on the need and importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. National Donate Life Month is about the importance of registering your decision to be a donor, honoring deceased and living donors, and celebrating the lives they saved. It is the generosity of donors and donor families that makes saving lives through transplantation possible.
