As spring blooms across Houston, Lemonade Day Houston launches its 17th season, gearing up to empower young entrepreneurs in Grades K through 8. This free experiential program promises to cultivate valuable business skills while savoring the sweet taste of ownership.

Bailey Kinney, the Executive Director of Lemonade Day Houston, expressed, "Our primary objective is to help youth become the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers, and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow. We are dedicated to delivering on our mission of preparing youth for life through our fun, proactive, and experiential program."photo

The program offers interactive lessons in business and financial development, accessible through the free My Lemonade Day Digital App or printed workbooks. From the comfort of their homes, participants learn to set goals, devise business plans, and unleash their creativity in marketing their products. Crucially, they get to keep their earnings and are encouraged to support causes close to their hearts.

This year, Lemonade Day Houston sets its sights on engaging 25,000 kids across Greater Houston. Parents, mentors, and educators can register youth at www.lemonadeday.org/Houston. Additionally, Lemonade Day offers a faith-based curriculum tailored for churches and organizations.

Throughout the season, Lemonade Day hosts a range of events and contests, including the Best Business Pitch and Best Tasting Contest, enriching the entrepreneurial journey of young participants. The pinnacle of the season culminates in Houston's city-wide Lemonade Day on May 18, 2024, where youth are encouraged to set up stands and showcase their entrepreneurial prowess.
