Get ready to tee off for a great cause at the 10th Annual GHRCF Golf Tournament, hosted by the Greater Houston Retailers Charitable Foundation (GHRCF) on April 15th at Sweetwater Country Club. This premier event, organized by the charitable arm of the Greater Houston Retailers Association (GHRA), promises a day of camaraderie, competition, and philanthropy in support of the families of fallen first responders.

Nearly 300 participants are expected to join in on the action, forming foursomes to navigate the lush greens of Sweetwater Country Club located at 4400 Palm Royale Blvd. in Sugar Land. With registration starting at 7 a.m. CT and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT, players will embark on a memorable golfing experience while honoring the heroic sacrifices of our local heroes.

photoAs of now, there are openings for 21 teams of four, totaling 84 player slots. Don't miss your chance to participate! Individual registration is priced at $300, while teams can sign up for $1,200. Your registration fee includes a hearty breakfast, refreshing snacks, assorted beverages, and an awards luncheon to cap off the day's festivities.

But the tournament is about more than just golf—it's about making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who selflessly serve our communities. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the families of first responders who have tragically lost their lives in the line of duty. With a fundraising goal of $200,000, every swing and every putt contributes to honoring and supporting these brave individuals and their loved ones.

Shahinda Maredia, GHRA's marketing supervisor and tournament planner extraordinaire, emphasizes the significance of this annual event: "Our tournament is a heartfelt tribute to the unwavering dedication of our first responders. It's a testament to our commitment to stand by them and their families during their times of need. We're proud to rally together as a community to make a positive impact and show our appreciation for their sacrifice."

In addition to the golfing action, the tournament offers valuable sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations looking to make a lasting impression while supporting a noble cause. With sponsorship levels ranging from $7,500 to $10,000, companies can showcase their commitment to corporate social responsibility while gaining exposure among industry peers and community leaders.
