The Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival is gearing up for a spectacular event this year, and the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce has announced an exciting ‘Preview Week’ packed with curated local culinary and beverage pop-up events. Scheduled from July 22nd to July 28th, 2024, this inaugural Preview Week offers a sneak peek into the festivities planned for the main event in the fall. Attendees can look forward to immersive experiences showcasing the rich agricultural, culinary, and beverage offerings of the Texas Hill Country.

A Taste of What’s to Come

“We’re thrilled to provide guests with a small taste of what’s in store for this October’s Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival,” says Festival Producer Hayley Wakefield. “It’s an exciting opportunity for members of our Texas community to take part in the region’s rich agricultural legacy and to delight their palates with the offerings of our local food and beverage purveyors.”

All Week Long - Family-Friendly Flavors of Fredericksburg Passport

The Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce presents free opportunities for families to engage with and learn about local farms and culinary arts throughout the week. Various locations. Free to participate.

Tuesday, July 23rd – Taste of Texas presented by Women for WineSense

Hosted by Women for WineSense, this Food & Wine pairing experience at El Quincho, Revel Kitchen & Catering’s Argentine-inspired cabana, features five samplings of mouthwatering wood-fired South American bites paired with five Texas Hill Country wines. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Limited tickets available.

Wednesday, July 24th – Tacos & Tannat

Set against the sweeping vineyard views of Augusta Vin, Tacos & Tannat will explore local taco culture with tacos by Leroy’s TexMex BBQ paired with three different expressions of Tannat: a rosé, a reserve Tannat, and a barrel-aged Tannat. 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Tickets available.

Thursday, July 25th – Sip Into Summer Garden Cocktails 101

Guests at Hill Country Herb Garden’s Summer Garden Cocktails 101 will learn the art of cocktail-making with on-site herbalist Lauren Peterson. Enjoy three cocktail demonstrations, small bites, herb jars, and recipes in their enchanting gardens. 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Limited tickets available.

Friday, July 26th – Elk & Main Sip & Savor

This event features a progressive tasting with offerings from Six Twists Sparkling, OroBianco Italian Creamery, and Ocotillo Chocolate + Wine, accompanied by live music in their shared courtyard. Enjoy champagne flights with croque monsieur bites, Italian-style tapas, and a single-origin chocolate flourless cake paired with local dessert wine. 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Tickets available.

Saturday, July 27th – The Elephant in the Room Boozy Brunch and Fredericksburg ‘Quesoff’

Kick off Saturday with a boozy brunch at The Albert Hotel’s historic “The Saloon.” Enjoy craft spirits, classic brunch cocktails, brunch bites, and beats from a local DJ. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Tickets available.  

Continue the fun in the afternoon with Fredericksburg’s ‘Quesoff,’ a queso cook-off at Milam’s Grand Central. Compete for the FBG Quesoff Champion Trophy while enjoying live Tejano music, margaritas, and a michelada bar. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tickets available.
