Houston, mark your calendars for an unforgettable event honoring the trailblazing contributions of Black women in film and television at the Black Women Film Network (BWFN) Summit on March 23rd, 2024. Held at the prestigious Loudermilk Conference Center in Atlanta, GA, this year's summit promises to be an empowering celebration of creativity, resilience, and success.

The BWFN Summit, now in its ninth year, continues to champion the voices and achievements of Black women in the entertainment industry. This year's class of honorees includes some of the most influential figures in the field:

"We are thrilled to recognize the remarkable accomplishments of these extraordinary women," said Chiquita Lockley, Chairwoman of the BWFN Board. "Their dedication, talent, and innovation have reshaped the landscape of film and television, inspiring future generations of creators and storytellers."

The BWFN Summit will feature a dynamic lineup of workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, offering invaluable insights and resources for aspiring and established professionals alike. With support from industry leaders like NBCU Launch, Amazon, Aspire TV+, and Cvent, the summit aims to foster equity and advancement for Black women across all facets of the entertainment industry.

In addition to celebrating the Class of 2024 honorees, the BWFN Summit will announce recipients of the BWFN Scholarship, providing financial support to emerging talent pursuing careers in film and TV. The summit will also feature the highly anticipated BWFN Short Film Festival, showcasing the diverse voices and talents of Black women filmmakers.

"As Black women continue to make strides in the industry, BWFN remains dedicated to amplifying their voices and advocating for their inclusion and recognition," added Lockley.
