Mark your calendars for an enchanting evening celebrating the transformative power of the arts at the "Tutus & Tuxes Gala," presented by the Edison Arts Foundation. Set against the backdrop of The Landmark Community Center in Missouri City, TX, this gala promises to be an unforgettable affair, merging sophistication with creativity on Saturday, April 27, 2024, starting at 7:00 p.m.

"We're thrilled to host the 'Tutus & Tuxes Gala,' themed 'Heart Work...The Impact of the Arts,' as it embodies our commitment to fostering artistic endeavors within our community," says Charity Carter, Executive Director of the Edison Arts Foundation.

The Gala invites guests to don their most exquisite attire, blending the charm of classical ballet tutus with the refinement of formal tuxedos. Expect an evening filled with live performances, delectable cuisine, and opportunities to support the arts. "It's not just a celebration of artistry but also a testament to the power of community support in nurturing creativity," adds Carter.

Highlighting the evening are esteemed honorees, including Miss Texas Ellie Breaux, recipient of the Community Excellence in the Arts Award, and recording artist MAJOR, honored with the Legacy Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts. Additionally, Black Angels Collective Director/Choreographer Carmen Jones-Marigny will be recognized with the Change Agent in the Arts Award.

Guiding guests through the evening's festivities are emcees Briana Connor and Brandon Hamilton of KTRK ABC13. Prepare to be captivated by mesmerizing ballet routines, live music, and immersive art experiences showcasing local talent.

Guests will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive auction items and contribute to the EAF's initiatives supporting emerging artists and arts education. "Every contribution helps shape a brighter future for the arts," emphasizes Carter.
