The inaugural edition of Montreux Jazz Festival Miami took the city by storm, captivating audiences with three days of unforgettable performances at The Hangar in Coconut Grove from March 1 to 3. Showcasing a diverse lineup of musical talents against the backdrop of Miami's vibrant culture, the festival delivered an unparalleled experience that left attendees spellbound.

Headlined by the incomparable Jon Batiste, festival-goers were treated to a spectacular showcase of musical excellence, featuring acclaimed artists such as Daryl Hall, The Wailers, Cimafunk, and Emily Estefan, among others. From soulful melodies to electrifying performances, each act left a lasting impression on the audience, making it a weekend to remember.

On the opening night, Jon Batiste led his band through an exhilarating New Orleans-inspired processional, igniting a "Love Riot" among the pumped crowd. Special guest appearances by Cecile McLorin Salvant, Cory Henry, and Israel Houghton added to the excitement, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration.

As the festival continued, attendees were treated to impromptu performances and surprise guest appearances, including a cameo rap by Hollywood star Will Smith, who joined Jon Batiste on stage for a memorable collaboration that had audience-members in awe.
