Opening Night Spotlight: Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’

This year’s festival kicks off with an electrifying Opening Night screening of ‘Kennedy’, a neo-noir thriller by acclaimed Indian filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, on Friday, April 11. Known for pushing cinematic boundaries, Kashyap will be in attendance to present his latest masterpiece—a gripping tale set in the murky underworld of Mumbai’s police force during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The film follows Uday Shetty (played by Rahul Bhat), a presumed-dead ex-cop navigating the city’s corrupt federal system under the alias "Kennedy." As an assassin for a morally bankrupt police commissioner (Mohit Takalkar), Shetty wrestles with his own demons, making ‘Kennedy’ an intense, must-watch cinematic experience.

An Unforgettable Festival Experience

Beyond the silver screen, IMFF 2025 promises a dynamic mix of film premieres, industry Q&As, social mixers, and glamorous red-carpet events. Festivalgoers can expect:

🎬 Exclusive Screenings – A diverse selection of films spotlighting South Asian stories and filmmakers.
🗣️ Filmmaker Panels & Q&As – In-depth conversations with visionary directors, actors, and producers.
