With 16.2 seconds left on the clock in Sunday’s matchup between the Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks, the reigning 2019 NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounpo found himself with an opportunity to take advantage of a statement he made earlier this year about former 2018 MVP James Harden. During a press conference after the 2020 NBA All-Star game, Antetokounpo said his team’s defensive scheme towards the end of the game was, to get the ball to whoever James Harden was guarding.

Today, the NBA announced that Houston Rockets guard James Harden has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, March 18 through Sunday, March 24 (Week 22). It is Harden’s fourth Player of the Week award of the season and the 22nd of his career, all coming as a Rocket.
