The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD Partners with Harris County to Debut the Youth Diversion Center

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is excited to announce the grand opening of the Youth Diversion Center in Houston. The Youth Diversion Center is a collaborative effort between the Harris County Resources for Children & Adults, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department, and the Kinder Institute of Urban Research at Rice University. A ribbon cutting will be held on Monday, May 15, at noon.

Harris County MANDATORY Mask Order EFFECTIVE MONDAY: Judge Orders Residents To Wear Mask in Public For Next 30 Days

10 Years or Older Should Wear A Face Covering

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo on Wednesday issued an order requiring residents to wear masks when in public for the next 30 days, beginning on Monday, April 27, 2020. The order requires individuals over the age of 10 to wear a face covering, which can be a homemade mask, scarf, bandana, or handkerchief, when outside the home.
