Houston's own Fire Controlman 3rd Class Martin Galvan, currently serving aboard the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), is making significant contributions to the U.S. Navy's mission in the Indo-Pacific region. Galvan, a proud native of Houston, recently connected a RIM-162D Evolved Seasparrow surface missile to the NATO Seasparrow Missile System while the USS Boxer sailed through the Pacific Ocean on August 1, 2024.
