In a momentous ceremony before more than 20,000 sorority members and guests, Dr. Simmons was installed as the South-Central Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.®, representing Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. Her dedication to the nation’s first Black Greek-lettered sorority brings a renewed commitment to service and sisterhood to the South-Central Region.
