Alaina earned her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders from Stephen F. Austin State University where she joined Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She now teaches 2nd grade at Beatrice Mayes Institute Charter School where she coaches cheerleading and is a part of various campus leadership organizations. Alaina has a personal blog, UnashamedGrowth, where she chronicles her struggles with infertility, her path through adoption, and spiritual growth in many areas of life. Alaina currently serves on the board of Sparkles of Life, Inc. an organization geared towards educating, supporting, and uplifting women and families enduring infertility.
