Teachers are some of the most underpaid and underappreciated individuals but they are not underproductive. Being that this is the situation of teachers, they naturally have some frustrations, a few complaints, and a lot of headaches about their job. However, there is not an outlet for them to be able to release such aggravation until Eddie B became their voice.

Eddie B aka Eddie Brown is a man who has walked the walk and talked the talk of a teacher for 12 years. Coming to education after his dreams of playing football and being a coach were dashed, Eddie B taught science on the middle school level simply because he needed a job. He grew to love the position and teaching became more than just a job for him.

“I love the kids. I love showing them stuff that they have never seen,” said Eddie B. He especially loves when a kid comes back telling him how his teachings influenced their life.

Although he loved teaching, he couldn’t deny how comedy was calling him to the stage. When the school bell rang at the close of the day, Eddie B would head to local comedy clubs sharing his life as a teacher in a hilarious way. Teachers loved his routine. Wanting a larger audience, he began to share his comedy socially. One day while in his fifth grade science class he decided to edit one of his videos and post it. The first day the video got a few thousand likes. The next day those few thousand turned to 100,000. By the week’s end, the video had reached one million likes. Eddie B couldn’t believe it. He had struck comedy gold.

Regularly he became filming and editing more and more videos creating a series “What Teachers Say…”. Joking on everything to what teachers think when doing the roll call to what teachers say in parent conferences. With popularity, Eddie B started to see comedy as a viable career for himself. He decided to leave the comforts of his native Houston, TX for the big stars in Los Angeles, CA to do comedy professionally. And like that he was a hit! Eddie B has taken his act on the road with a multi-city Teachers Only comedy tour selling out arenas as he crisscrosses the nation. The Teachers Only Tour is like a sneak peek inside the teachers’ lounge and inside the mind of teachers.

Besides the tour, Eddie is also working on a book under the same brand titled, “I Am Already Professionally Developed.” It chronicles his life as a teacher in the classrooms of Houston, TX. Also on the horizon for this funny guy is an upcoming sitcom on NBC starring and co-written by Eddie B. He calls the pending series historic because unlike like other shows with actors as teachers, he is an actual teacher portraying a teacher. To say he is excited about his future is an understatement.
