Hosea Helps was founded and created by the late Hosea Williams, Martin Luther King, Jr. 's lieutenant. After Hosea’s death in 2000, the organization was succeeded by his daughter, Elizabeth Omilami (World Renowned Actress) and expanded to a national organization that feeds, clothes, houses, and provides services to the world’s most vulnerable people. This year, the organization enters its 50th year of service, subsequently moving into their new headquarters and expanding their services throughout the pandemic. As our country faces one of the most difficult times in our history, Mrs. Omilami would like to initiate a discussion around affordable housing and its relation to the increased crime in our inner cities.
