Former NBA superstar J.R. Smith enrolled at North Carolina A&T and is set to play golf for the Aggies, Blavity reports.

Smith is a two-time NBA champion, winning one with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016 and the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. Now that he has retired from the league, he’s decided to pursue a degree in liberal studies at North Carolina A&T. Smith said he also has plans to join the golf team.

Residents who receive their First dose of the COVID-19 vaccine through HCPH will receive a $100 cash card

In an effort to improve vaccination rates and better protect the residents of Harris County from COVID-19, Harris County Public Health (HCPH) will provide $100 cash cards to residents receiving their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at an HCPH vaccination site. In order to receive the $100 cash card, residents will have to sign a waiver prior to the vaccination and remain in the post-vaccination waiting area at an HCPH vaccination site for the 15-to-30 minutes recommended.

Today, The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) civil rights organization, in partnership with Us Helping Us, launched the United States’ first national in-home HIV testing program centered around reaching communities disproportionately impacted by HIV—Black and Latinx gay, bisexual men and transgender women of color. Also, for the first time in its history, HRC will be providing a direct-to-door service to the LGBTQ+ community by pledging to administer a minimum of 5,000 free in-home testing kits for HIV over one year.
