Killer Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison After DNA Found on Gearshift of a Car Pushed Into Bayou

A 21-year-old Galena Park man was sentenced to 35 years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to murder for shooting an acquaintance, putting his body in the backseat of a car and pushing the car into Hunting Bayou, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced.

In Loving Memory of Marie Mosede Sonnier Heileman

Marie Mosede Sonnier Heileman was born to the late Ernest and Della Marie (Jolivette) Sonnier in Carencrow, Louisiana on November 14, 1934. In her teens, she moved to Houston. She attended E. O. Smith Middle School. She had to stop attending in the eighth grade in order to care for her younger siblings. Marie met Henry Heileman at a Zydeco Club in Frenchtown.
